- General objectives:- The main objective of the project was to develop the awareness of the beneficiaries on the human rights, democratic rights, Peace building and the roles and responsibilities of traditional institutions in peace building, and the role of the gender in traditional system of local governance.
Project – 4
- Title of the project:- Awareness raising and Promotion of the implementation of women access to land ownership and inheritance laws among the Ethnic communities in Segen Area Peoples Zone.

- Target group: – The major beneficiaries from this project activity will be those individuals and institution having direct impact on the day to day life of Segan Area Peoples Zone rural women and those who can influence to transform the status quo in daily bases in favor of the rural women. Hence this project intends to benefit 60 traditional system of local governance leaders, 40 primary school directors, 30 participant teachers and students from the high school gender clubs, 20 participants from woreda level government offices working on gender related issues, 50 participants from kebele level agricultural development agents, 30 representatives from health extension workers at kebele level, 50 modern law enforcers. Therefore a total of 280 individuals will directly benefit from the ToTs under this project.
- General Objectives of the project:- To contribute for poverty eradication effort of Ethiopia by enhancing women access to economic resources and promoting their practical contributions for the development of the nation.
- Specific Objectives of the projects:–
- To explore potentials in the customary law of Burji and Amaro Ethnic communities that can be aligned with the modern legal and policy provisions in Ethiopia so as to improve status of women.
- To promote women access towards land ownership and inheritance among the Segen Area Peoples Zone communities.
- To raise the awareness of local community in Segen Area Peoples Zone communities towards the benefits of women improved status and enhanced position in making decisions on economic resources such as land.
- To contribute for the practical implementation of women land ownership and inheritance related legal and policy provisions among the Konso and Dirashe communities
- To scale up women actual land holding, transfer and inheritance practices among the Segen Area Peoples Zone communities.
Project – 5
- Title of the Project: – Initiative to support Democratic Governance and Peaceful Co-existence in Ethiopia of one of the subject of the action called Right of women for land ownership

- Project Location: – Amaro and Burji Special woreda in SNNPR.
- Project Period :- February 6, 2020 up to February 6, 2023
- Value of the Project:- 5,048077.68
- Donor:- European Union Civil Society Fund Three (EU CSF III)
- Target group of the Actions:- 400 women, 20 women groups, 10 community structures 15 government offices and 37 government officials in Amaro and Burji special woredas.
- The final Target beneficiaries of the project: – 250,000 community members in Amaro and Burji Special woreda.
Goal of the project:- Strengthened Mechanisms, strategies and actions improved gender equality in the processes, institutions and activities of land tenure governance in Amaro special woreda and Burji special woreda.
