Leadership (Organizational Structure)
APeD is non-governmental and non-profit organization having an organization structure in which it has the general assembly, the Board, and the Secretariat. The general assembly consists of its founding members that determine the policy and the general principles of the organization. The general assembly meets once in a year to hear reports, discuss and ratify the budget and plan of action. It appoints chairperson and vice-chairperson of the board, and the Executive Director of the organization. It also appoints board members from among its regular members or from others. The board is composed of a chairperson, vice-chairperson and seven other regular members. It oversees the implementation of the programs. Each board member has supervisory and support functions in a clearly defined area of the secretariat’s operation. The board has a four year term. The secretariat manages the implementation of projects. Under the board, the secretariat is responsible for the execution of all programs.
